ufosoveramerica.com — Date: Fri, 18 May 2001 08:36:49 EDT Subject: My mom was abducted by aliens! To: evidence@ufosoveramerica.com This is a true story that happened when my mom was around the age of 7. You may not beleive what you are about to read but it is 100% true. I don't remember exactly how it went so I may leave parts out. This is what happened: My mom was seven years old. She had one sister and one brother. She shared a room with her sister. They shared bunk beds(i'm telling you all this because it will make more sense in the end). My mom got out of bed one night to go to the bathroom. The kitchen stretched around to the hallway(as weird as that sounds) and the bathroom was at the end of the hallway. As she walked through the kitchen and in to the hallway she stopped to see a tall skinny figure standing by her parents door. At first she thought it was her father but as the being turned it had huge, black eyes, a stiff little hole where a mouth would be and there was no nose. She stood there for a minute just staring at the thing, and then as it started to walk towards her she ran back to her room and slid under her bunk beds. She says that it was like as soon as she hit the ground and slid under her beds she fell fast asleep. All she remembered after that was waking up late the next morning underneth her bunk beds. I know that I left some things out but it has been a while since she told me this story. read more...

paranormal.about.com — I live just outside Louisville, Kentucky, and I've been living in the same house for three years, so this happened around the summer of 2006. When my family moved in, we were warned that there had been deaths on the property: four children, ages 6 to 12, two girls and two boys, who had died during the tuberculosis (TB) epidemic. However, there had never really been any heavy activity, so we didn't think anything of it. During the summer, a few days after my birthday, some friends and I decided to visit the children's headstones late at night. They were farther back on our property in the woods, so it was really dark and spooky when we got there. We joked and goofed around, daring each other to get closer to them, but we were all pretty freaked out. Finally, one of my friends (I'll call her Jess) went up to one of the headstones to read the name. She told us that the name was too faded to read, but tried anyway. "Edward..." she said, "Or maybe Edmund...." "It's Edmund!" shouted someone behind us. We all screamed and turned to see no one. It was very quiet and none of us could figure out where the voice had come from. The voice had sounded like a boy's and I knew it couldn't have been my little brother because his voice would've broken (cusp of adulthood and all), plus he was sleeping over at a friend's. We tried to shrug it off, but most of my friends wanted to go back to the house. Jess, however, wanted to stay behind and I didn't want to leave her, so they left us behind. We looked at the rest of the headstones and found out the rest of the children's names: Mary, Gregory and Alice. We decided to head back to the house. Jess was walking in front of me and she kept swatting at the back of her shirt, until she turned around and yelled at me to stop pulling her shirt. I swore I hadn't done it and we kept walking. Finally, we could see the house and picked up the pace a bit. Jess was already crossing the yard by the time I'd reached the edge of the woods. Then I felt a small hand grab mine and a voice whisper, "Don't go yet." By then I'd had enough. I sprinted to the house, threw open the door ran all the way to my room and hid under my covers for the rest of the night. I couldn't tell my friends what had happened until the next morning. I have never visited the children's graves since. read more...

paranormal.about.com — I started working at a company in 1982. My daughter was 1½ when I got the job. It was a really big company and I worked as a clerk. I had a male friend who always told me he was "in love" with me. I had only been married a couple of years, was very young, but not falling for that type of stuff. But I still liked the young man as a friend and we talked often. I saw him every day because he worked for the company delivering the mail. One day he came in and had gotten a job in a different department there and was excited to move up. I really didn't talk to him that much after he moved positions. One night, I was asleep in bed beside my husband, and I saw the young man come to me. He kept saying, "I have to leave you. I have to go now..." and I kept asking, "Where are you going?" and "Why are you leaving?" He kept repeating the same thing over again, and kept moving into a tunnel of bright white light. I sat straight up in bed, thinking it was a dream. I looked over at the clock and saw it was 2:30 a.m. I knew I had to get up to go to work at 7:30, so I kind of drifted back off to sleep. I went into work that morning, not thinking about it, and at 9 a.m. someone called my boss to say that "the young man" had accidentally been shot in the chest by his best friend and died about 2:30 in the morning. I was in shock. I think he came to tell me goodbye. I have only told a couple of people because I don't know that anyone would believe me. I haven't told my husband because, well... it would be hard to explain. Ever since, I have totally believed in the afterlife. read more...

paranormal.about.com — I live in Albany, New York. The whole thing started last month. I was in my bedroom, like I usually am after school, doing homework. I started to hear music, bone-chilling piano music. I figured that my father must be playing the piano downstairs. I ignored it at first. Then I began to hear footsteps running down the hallway. I instantly knew it was my younger brother kidding again with his friends. I put that one aside... until the footsteps got louder and I couldn't help but checking it out. I looked in the hallway and my brother was nowhere to be found. I went back into my bedroom. Then I heard soft violin music with the piano. No problem, I thought, my sister plays violin. All through the next hour, I heard footsteps, the piano and the violin. I decided I was going downstairs to tell them to be quieter. When I came downstairs, my mom was in the kitchen. "Hey, are dad and Lia having 'band practice'?" I asked, rolling my eyes. "We sold the piano last week," my mom said, looking at me cross. "Well, is John here?" I asked. "Honey, your brother is at basketball practice." "Hey, Christie," my sister Lia said. "Where is your violin?" I asked her. "I left it at Vanessa's house," she said, staring at me strangely also. That's when I knew it... there was a ghost in my house! read more...

paranormal.about.com — There's a reason why I'm afraid of puppets, clowns and mannequins. In 1966 we lived in Sacramento, California. I was 11 years old at the time. The school year was about to begin and my whole family would go out shopping for school clothes at this big department store called Newberry's. It was the same ritual every year. My mother would pick out the clothes for my brothers and me. We would try them on in the fitting rooms, then go up to the second floor using the escalators (which was neat) and look for shoes. We would be there all day. After a while I would get bored and restless. On this particular day, I asked my mother if I could go to the toy section with my younger brother. She was hesitant at first, but decided it was alright, just as long as we didn't wander off. We went down to the main floor where the toy department was. We walked by some store mannequins. I noticed how life-like they looked and mentioned it to my brother. We came to a male looking one that was wearing a swimsuit and holding a beach ball. I started posing like this mannequin, making funny faces, acting silly. My brother was laughing. Then I looked around to make sure no store personnel were watching. I took the ball from the dummy and started to really pose. My brother was cracking up! I put the ball back and in a silly voice thanked the mannequin. After an hour or so, our mother came down and called out for us. It was time to go. Everytime when the shopping was done, we'd go and get something to eat. Yeah, I was hungry, I was ready. My brother ran up ahead of me. As I was walking past the swimsuit mannequin, I noticed it didn't have the beach ball anymore. Again in a silly voice, I said something like, "We have to go now, Mr. Dummy." As I turned away, I felt a hand softly run down the back of my head! I'm not lying! I quickly turned around. There was no other person there -- just me and the mannequin! I started running toward my mother. I was scared! As we were walking out the store, I looked back and the mannequin had one arm up like it was waving goodbye! Oh my God! read more...

paranormal.about.com — It was the first time and only time I had an encounter with a ghost or phantom. Before that, I was pretty much a skeptic and non-beleiver. I beleive it was the summer of 1998, and I was living on an acre just outside Oregon City, Oregon in Clackamas County. I was just getting ready for bed. Nobody was home, and as I lay down on my mattress, I could feel pressure pushing up on my back. At first I was curious, and then another push came that actually seemed to lift me an inch or so off the bed! Now frightened, I jumped up and turned the light on and stared at the bed where I was lying. Nothing was there. Moments went by. I turned off the light and lay back down. Immediately, another push came, but this time I could feel digits -- as if it were hands. I got up and ran into the living room. I could feel a presence and I spoke to it. "I know you're here. I'm not afraid of you." Then came a noise from the other bedroom, a crashing sound. I went to investigate and saw the cloest door ajar. I closed it and left. Then a loud burst of music came from the room I was just in. I ran back to the room and turned off the radio (which was on full volume) and noticed the closet door was ajar again. read more...

paranormal.about.com — This incident took place west of the Red Mesa Chapter House Community in Southeastern Utah on the road BIA-5060 in the Summer of 2007. Now I know my mother to not take such stories lightly; in fact, as a Navajo woman who's currently pursuing a Doctorial degree from UNLV, I would implore that this particular story she presented to me was rather a surprise. I've always known her to be the most rational human being I've ever known. According to her, a woman she works with who lives near the Utah-Arizonian state line in the Red Mesa Community told her a story of how her son was apparently so shocked at what he saw, he could not bring it to himself to speak of the incident himself. According to this guy, who was about 19 years of age at the time, he was driving back from Farmington, New Mexico at around 6 p.m. in the evening. The sun had just set. However, he was enjoying the pleasant light the sun still emits after falling below the western horizon while he had just made the turn west from County Rd 21. Nothing out of the ordinary for this young guy since long commutes to Farmington were a daily routine for him. As he continued on in the small Ford Ranger, there were minor twists and turns on the road, but he still could see miles and miles away since the local area has a semi-desert climate, so only brush and small hills are the only preventions of seeing 30 to 50 miles out. After completing a wide turn, he found himself on a straightaway on the country road, which has a small incline down into a dip, then eventually rises again to another hill. He then noticed a black figure walking on the right-hand shoulder of the road about 2 or 3 minutes ahead of him. Nothing new. Everyone is accustomed to seeing hitchhikers, runners and sometimes kids running, playing and walking beside the Navajo Nation highways. But as he neared this individual, it seemed apparent that this was no ordinary person. In fact, he was very very skinny and very very tall. No, not ordinary, but very unusual and strange. Even closer, he saw that this individual was wearing clothes that were entirely black. Well, it was nothing to be frightened about, so he slowed down, even contemplating on picking up this person. He slowed his truck down and peered out to see this guy as he slowly passed this person. At this point, the individual dressed entirely in black had halted to a stop, but was still facing forward. Finally, as the vehicle was gradually moving forward in a position this read more...
