I truly no longer harbour such thoughts, and so cannot answer you. You see, Swami does extraordinary things. Sometimes he does such miracles that the mind simply caves in, and at other times he does such clumsy sleight of hand tricks you think that he must think you are a fool if he expects you to fall for it. Why does he do that? Why does he contradict himself? Why is he so damnably undefinable? My hunch is that he does whatever is appropriate to further the insight of the individual present before him, no matter if that somehow makes the person think `of' him as a fraud or a god. He really does not care what one thinks of him, you see. At least that is my experience. Just when I think I have Swami pegged, he does something outside my comprehension. When doubt overwhelms me, I later discover why I have learned just as much from that process as when wisdom overwhelms me.

Here is a strange report that I found from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. On April 12 of this year, a man who was standing on his balcony saw three blue lights rotating in a circle over Edmonton. What makes this sighting a little different from others, is that there was a large, circular cloud over the city at the time, and the three blue lights were embedded in the center of the cloud. The lights were making irregular rotations. As he watched the lights, suddenly four more lights appeared, then formed together to make a circle. Then as suddenly as they appeared, they disappeared. Although he often watched the skies, he had never seen anything close to what he saw this night. About an hour after the lights disappeared, the cloud cleared away, and a helicopter arrived and circled the area. Could this be a case of UFOs using clouds to disguise their presence? Let's go one step further. Could the UFOs have created the clouds to hide themselves?

I was sitting on the trampoline with my friend. I'm going to call her Amy. Then a little girl that we could tell was a ghost had started running toward Amy crying, "Mama, Mama!" But then, as soon as she reached Amy, she dissapeared. You see, Amy's house survived the 1800s and it was built before the Civil War. After we went inside at 7:00 for supper, we went up to her room. But when we turned on the TV, we saw the face of a little blond boy, not much older than 5 years old. He was staring at us, and I felt like he was staring into my soul. Suddenly, I got up and pulled Amy out of her room. We were so terrified that we couldn't stop shaking. When we returned to the TV, the face was gone. But sure enough, 20 minutes later we saw him with his body instead of just his face. He looked like he had been very angry. There were tears under his eyes. Then he vanished. This happened in 1991 and we were at Duart, Pennsylvania

When I was about 12 years old - six years ago - the most amazing paranormal events happened to me that I shall never forget. The story starts on a school day, where my best friend came in, sat at her usual place, but she seemed "disturbed" about something. I asked her about it, and she merely said, "Last night I saw a ghost." Eventually, I got more information out of her. The ghost was a young-looking, Victorian-dressed girl with long hair that was neither light nor dark. Naturally, I thought she was joking. But the story develops. One day, after several of these sightings, she produced her notebook with the word "Hello" scrawled on the cover. "This is obviously a joke," I thought. But the next day, she ran to me, gasping hysterically that someone flicked the lights on and off in the toilets and turned the automatic hand-dryers on and off, although there was no one else there. She also claimed to have had a long written conversation with this ghost, who turned out to be called Alice, the previous night. Her method was to write her message, place the book out of her sight for a few seconds, and there would be a reply. Eagerly, we decided to try it out in the classroom. We wrote a message, placed the book under the desk, and, to our astonishment, there was a reply. We wrote more and more messages to Alice, and more and more replies came back. She wrote and drew on our books, and also seemed to be a bit of a prankster. I remember one day, our teacher (whom neither of us liked) was conducting a lesson. My friend suddenly whispered to me, "Do you see her? That's Alice." Behind the teacher was a faint, yet obvious shadow of a girl, dancing and waving her arms about, kind of mocking him. There was no one outside at the time to make the shadow, and there certainly wasn't someone inside the classroom either! Another trick she used to pull was whenever we lost a small item, she would give it back to us by putting it in the mouth of my pencil case. (My pencil case was of the Rainbow character Zippy, who has a zip-up mouth.) Sometimes she would do this as a game. For several months this went on; Alice was our secret yet amazing friend. I still have one of the notebooks we used, and to this day I cannot believe what happened. Eventually, Alice left. We knew she wasn't there to stay forever. When she finally departed, it was truly sad. Her last note was an essay, basically outlining her life, and how she enjoyed her time with us. But my story does n

This incident happened to me when I was very young, and it still chills me to the bone to this very day. My parents, my brother and I went down to Virginia to visit my aunt, uncle and cousins for Thanksgiving. Since my cousins' house was full of relatives, my family got the basement to sleep in. My brother and I both got cots to sleep on and my parents on the roll-out couch. The basement was located on the lower level of the house and there were twin double-glass doors (covered by a thin white curtain) at the back of the basement that led into the backyard. My brother's cot was closest to these doors. One night I awoke and rolled over, wondering what had awakened me. For some reason, the backyard light was on and I distinctly remembered hearing my aunt say that they would turn it off so we could sleep. So why was it on? I glanced at my sleeping parents and then back at the the light shining through the white curtain. That's when I saw it: an enormous dark shadow was standing outside. I could only see the outline of it since the curtain was drawn. It had to of been at least 9 feet tall and its "arms" (or were they wings?) were stretched out on either side, reaching at least 5 feet in length. And it just STOOD there! Didn't move. Didn't do anything. Terrified, I squeaked out, "Dad!" to no avail. I looked at my father sleeping soundly on the bed next to me and then my brother sleeping close to the double doors and the thing on the other side. Deciding to awake my brother instead, I scrambled out of the cot and went to move toward him when I heard a strange, scratching voice say, "They can't hear you, Lindsay." I remember almost jumping completely out of my skin! To be addressed directly by an unknown enitity is the scariest thing to happen to you, believe me! I quickly crawled back into my cot, tossed the covers over my head, and began sobbing and shaking uncontrollably until I finally fell back to sleep. (The thing was still outside in the light when I fell asleep.) The next morning, I told my parents what happened and they just laughed, saying it was probably just a nightmare. I know what I saw though. I can still remember what it felt like to touch the freezing cold basement floor with my bare feet. Later in the day, something weird happened. I overheard my grandmother on the phone with someone. I didn't catch everything she was saying, but I did catch a certain sentence which was: "Well maybe that is what Lindsay saw outside the double d
